This woman played a stringed instrument that looked and sounded as if it came from Asia. I cannot identify the song she is playing, though it sounded familiar. It is possibly a cover of some standard or something, but I cannot place it.

I am in Chicago and I have an abundance of things to post, time permitting. I posted nothing over break, but I have things now!

Two little things for you to try out. One is an ambient recording of sounds at the lake, mostly including wind and leaves, but also including an empty soda can that was being blown across the concrete.

The other recording was a lady playing her stringed instrument in the subway. It had one string, and I am too lazy to look up what it was called. Like a lot of soloists at that station, she had a tape playing with her with some background music.

If I have the time, I am going to start walking up to the next subway stop to catch music there.
